Search and tags
Search
Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on macOS) from anywhere. Search covers the title and the body of every note you own.
It is full-text search, not substring matching, so it understands word forms rather than just exact characters — searching for one form of a word will find its relatives. Indonesian and English are both handled.
Search never returns notes in the trash, and never returns anyone else's notes.
Tags
Tags are for the grouping that search cannot infer — a project, a client, a status. A note can carry any number of them.
Tag names are per-account, so your #draft is yours alone. Renaming a tag
updates it everywhere it is used.
Which to reach for
Search when you remember something about the content. Tag when you want to gather notes that have nothing in common textually — a meeting note, an invoice, and a sketch that all belong to the same project.
Neither replaces the other, and neither requires you to have set anything up in advance except the tag itself.
